Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Solid NY-style pie in a convenient location. A nice balance of sauce and cheese. Priced right at $14.00 for an 18" cheese pie.

Pizza is good but a little high priced. The wife had the spaghetti and loved it. A lot of places don't put enough meet in the spaghetti sauce but this place puts plenty. Two thumbs up!

It's a little different here. You order when you walk in and they bring the food to your table. But don't let that throw you. The food is FANTASTIC! We've never had a bad meal here. From the regular Italian menu of baked dishes, to the pastas with incredible sauces and toppings like shrimp, scallops. chicken, etc. The dinners come with a nice size salad and garlic bread. The calamari appetizer perfectly breaded and cooked too. And the pizza is outstanding. Awesome crust with just the right amount of cheese and toppings. Just be forewarned the extra large is HUGE!

Good, but over priced. I don't like how they bring the food out one by one...instead of everything together. Especially when you have kids with you

I just threw a birthday party here and I have to say it was the most affordable place to have your own room in the back. The waitress was so attentive and sweet. The air conditioning could be kicked up a notch in the summer but overall I would definitely come back if I was having a party. The pizza was pretty good too and reminds me of NYC.

Pizza was very good!

We've been fairly regular customers of Italia's Corner Cafe since the day it opened. In years past, we'd even forego a trek into Little Italy in Baltimore because the fare at Italia's was that good. But, it's just not that good any more, and we're ready to give up on an old favorite. First, we've always loved the noisy, busy atmosphere and the quick casual style. I love that the kids can order a pizza, and we can order other fare and enjoy beer or wine with our meal. The prices are fairly reasonable, and service is generally pretty quick. And, the pizza has always been a favorite - in fact, the pizza is what keeps us coming back. Last night, we ordered a large pizza with ham, pineapple and black olives, and the pizza did not disappoint. The crust was evenly cooked. The sauce was flavorful, and the toppings were abundant. I ordered a side salad that was fresh and plentiful. The problem, however, was with the "three in one" salad that advertised a large garden salad tossed with grilled chicken and shrimp and topped with feta cheese. At $11.99, this purports to be a meal in itself. The salad arrived with a generous portion of chicken and TWO grilled shrimp. The shrimp were not particularly large and not particularly fresh. We asked for the manager because we thought the number of shrimp was an oversight. She assured us, however, that the two shrimp was exactly what was called for on the $11.99 salad. Considering that a grilled chicken Caesar salad goes for $9.50, we felt more than a little ripped off. Typically, a salad won't color our impression of a restaurant. However, I've learned to stop ordering the Caesar Salad because the dressing is too vinegary and not a true Caesar. Our impression was compounded by a prior visit when my husband ordered a veal parmesan sub. The sub is advertised to have a "fresh breaded cutlet".... The cutlet was not fresh - it was pre-frozen and pre-breaded, and not cooked up to anyone's standard. And, we've had other similar experiences. So, while we may grab a pizza as carry-out if it's convenient, we won't be stopping back for a family meal.

This place has very good pizza. The service and atmosphere is always a pleasant experience. I definitely recommend! They also have great daily specials.

Think about a trip to buffet line, you pay first then pick up your food, well not after you find a table then, you pile on food and let the guilt begin. But at Italia's its very close to a buffet when you first walk in, but there is no endless food :-(. With American-Italian food you will order your dish or pie, take your wine, beer or soda to your seat and then you will wait as a "runner" brings your food to you. Before your food arrives a roll basket is presented to your table, a true lack luster example of bread will be before you, its okay they they are as bad as they look, they should just bring plastic fruit as it is more eye pleasing. My dish of choice here is their shrimp scampi, served with linguine and a lemon based sauce. You may get a lunch portion or dinner sized when you first order, and the sizes are semi-noticeable with about 2.5 times more shrimp and pasta in the dinner size, it makes for a solid choice if your looking for a filling dinner. When you bite in there is A LOT of acidity, maybe too many lemons were used? I don't know, but its okay just gotta pick your way through the lemon seeds. The noodles aren't fresh and likely from a box and my shrimp are average sized . The dish isn't too heavy which helps with the after meal guilt. I can say without a doubt that my experience is always fair to mediocre, then again what should I expect? I had essentially cafateria style food with a high price attached, sigh.

I've had some pretty good experiences with the food here. I'm not going to say it is mind blowingly good or bad, but it is good decent food that I would not mind eating every once in a while. My work sometimes orders out from here, and their sandwiches are pretty decent. I'd recommend their Italia's special sub and steak sub as good safe things to get here. Their Chicken Parmigiana Sub was a bit heavy on the breading, so I would personally not go for that on a work day (tasted ok, but food coma!). The chips that come with the sandwiches are realyl great though. I believe they are home made and fried on site. They are thick and crispy and delicious. Their lunch buffet is an Ok deal. I think it is better than Mama Lucia's in Hanover, but it is also a little more expensive if i recall correctly. The actual restaurant is fairly spacious and clean. Service was good. Overall, I've had good experiences here, and would not coming back every once in a while for a bite to eat.

Food is good by local standards. I was the only customer at 2pm and was quite surprised that I had to flag someone down to let them know I was standing there. No greeting when I walked in as the hostess table was abandoned. Nice open dining room. Sort of feels like a Chinese Buffett though. Can't explain that. A Birra Moretti (Beer from Italy I believe). It came in the bottle and ice cold. The chilled glass was spotless. That is a fine point with me. So many times the glasses aren't sparkling. I was sort of turned off by being located at the corner of a Food Lion grocery store but it is close to BWI airport and I had hours to kill so why not Yelp a in-reviewed restaurant? This would be a great lunch spot. Don't try to impress the sweethert here though. Probably won't cone back unless I get shafted by the airlines again.

You tell me, where can you get a HUMONGOUS pie for $15 to feed the entire family? This pie is not only inexpensive, but also authetically Italian It's practically a gift from heaven!! I have tried their thin pizza here to go and in house and the quality is immaculately the same. The pick up is always on time and the service is always courteous. If you want great Italian style think pizza this is the place to go!

I'll start with the positives. My wife loved her meal and was the reason I went to the restaurant. She ordered the Seafood Asparagus meal. Also, the wait staff was courteous and attentive and served us very quickly. Now the negatives. The smell in the restaurant was very off putting. It smelled like a used diaper. If you managed to get through that, most of what I had to eat was flavorless and bland. The Caesar salad was pretty good and the mozzarella sticks weren't bad. However, the marinara sauce for the sticks tasted like they just dumped a can of crushed tomatoes in a bowl. No flavor at all. They served hot bread, which I think was just a toasted hoagie roll. It tasted like it was brushed with a low-end olive oil and pepper. My dinner was supposed to be Fettuccine Alfredo. What I was served was a huge plate of warm, flavorless, white sauce over noodles. I dumped nearly the entire jar of Parmesan cheese on it and a lot of pepper. And one other thing, I'm pretty sure the sweetened iced tea is from a powder mix. Overall, 3 out of 4 people (2 adults, 2 children) in my party did not like their meal and my wife only liked her dinner, she agreed with my assessment of everything else. I hope this helps.

Went in late last night in an act of desperation. For someone who can't consume gluten an Italian Restaurant sounds like h-e-doublehockeysticks! Pasta or Pizza - umm no. But the gentleman who was taking orders (manager perhaps?) totally understood my issues and even pointed out that while the chicken wasn't breaded they used flour in the wine sauce - he offered to make it without flour - and then offered veggies instead of pasta. It was a super win - and possibly the most flavorful meal I've had in 3 month's of being gluten free. (fwiw: I had the chicken piccata w/ vegetables - real ones like zucchini & asparagus!) If I have as good an experience next time this place will certainly get 5 stars in my book!
